Fresh protests erupted in Kiamaiko, Kariobangi North and Huruma as enraged youth flooded the streets to demand the whereabouts of a missing activist.
The demonstrations led to the closure of sections of the busy Outer Ring Road, causing major traffic disruptions on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 30.
Footage seen by Vantage Ke show hundreds of residents marching with placards and tree branches, chanting slogans as police fired teargas in an attempt to disperse the crowds.
Vantage Ke has established that the demonstrations are linked to the alleged abduction and disappearance of a local youth, Abdulaziz Duba Molo, popularly known as "Zizo" or "Zizou."

The latest protests mark the third consecutive day of transport disruption along the route.
According to residents, Zizo went missing on June 25 during the Gen Z protests and commemoration, with the area remaining tense ever since.
It is further alleged that two other youths were abducted alongside Zizo that day in the Mathare section of Kiamaiko, with police officers operating in the area accused of being behind the reported disappearances.
Motorists caught up in the disruption along Outer Ring Road have been advised to use alternative routes, including Eastern Bypass, Juja Road and Jogoo Road.
Those travelling through Kariobangi, Kiamaiko and Allsops can divert via Manyanja Road, Ring Road Ngara, or leave Thika Road at Roysambu through Kamiti Road.
On June 25, Kenya marked the second anniversary of the 2024 Gen Z-led anti-government protests, prompting heightened security across Nairobi, roadblocks on major highways and the arrest of 355 people countrywide. Of those arrested, 161 were apprehended in Nairobi.
The anniversary events were also overshadowed by reports of abductions, with several cases said to have targeted civil society members and activists.
According to data from the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR), seven people were abducted, with the disappearance of Mathare-based activist Davis Lichuma drawing widespread public attention.
Lichuma has since been found and is currently receiving treatment at Nairobi Women's Hospital as he recovers from the ordeal.
