Hinga Powers to Victory as Shell AutoX Championship Delivers High-Speed Action in Stoni Athi

Driver Michuki Hinga and his navigator Dennis Yaya were crowned the winners of the 2WD Non - Turbo Senior Car Category in the 5th round of the Shell AutoX Rally Championship held in Stoni Athi, Machakos County, marking the end of the action-packed event.

The championship, organized by 254 Motorsports Club, saw Ankush Shah win the 4WD Turbo Car Restricted category in 09:41 minutes, Michuki Hinga win the 2WD Non Turbo Senior Car category in 10:39 minutes, and Eann Bengi win the Cadet Jnr 2WD Non Turbo Buggy category in 10:43 minutes.

Speaking to the media, Vivo Energy Kenya’s Marketing Manager Joanne Nyaga stated that “Shell's continued partnership with Autocross is about more than putting our name on a championship.

"It is about celebrating performance, supporting Kenyan motorsport talent and creating memorable experiences for the fans who make this sport what it is. This 5th edition of Autocross provides another opportunity to bring the Shell performance story to life while supporting the people and passion driving motorsport in Kenya," Nyaga continued.

Vivo Energy Kenya, through its Shell brand, is the title sponsor of the 7-leg 2026 AutoX Rally championship, running from February through to November. This is the 2nd year of Shell’s title sponsorship after a successful 2025 season.
