Kenyan musicians Bensoul, Charisma and Ywaya Tajiri are set to headline a free entertainment event at Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday, October 3, as university athletes compete for a fully paid trip to South Africa.
The three artists will perform during the finale of the Open Lanes Varsity Invitational by On Running Kenya, which will bring together university athletes and music fans for the final showdown.
Bensoul is expected to perform some of his popular tracks, including Extra Pressure, Favorite Song, Nairobi and Nakufa, while Charisma will take the stage with songs such as Urao and Sina Noma.
Ywaya Tajiri will also perform at the event, with his set expected to feature Money Over Love and Chai Ya Saa Kumi, among other songs.
The event will culminate weeks of knockout competition involving athletes from six universities — Kenyatta University, the Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA), Riara University, Strathmore University, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), and the University of Nairobi.

According to the organisers, 18 teams will compete in the final showdown for the opportunity to win a fully paid trip to South Africa for a race experience.
The competition will give the university athletes an opportunity to compete at a national-level event while seeking to secure the international experience offered as the grand prize.
The finale is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, at Nyayo National Stadium, where the athletics competition will be accompanied by the live performances.
Entry to the event will be free, with fans required to obtain tickets through the Open Lanes Varsity Invitational platform.
The event combines university athletics with live entertainment, with organisers targeting fans who want to watch the final competition and performances at Nyayo.
The organisers, however, did not provide details on the specific South African race the winning team will attend or the full itinerary covered by the fully paid trip.
They also did not specify the starting time for the event in the release.
