President William Ruto has emerged as the leading presidential contender ahead of the 2027 General Election, according to the latest Infotrak survey.
The poll indicates that Ruto has strengthened his position since August 2025, with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leader registering 32 per cent support. Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka ranked second with 13 per cent.
Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, who recently signalled his interest in national leadership, placed third with 12 per cent, tying with former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i.
Democracy for Citizens (DCP) party leader Rigathi Gachagua followed with 4 per cent, while Embakasi East MP Babu Owino received 3 per cent support.
Former Chief Justice David Maraga attracted 2 per cent backing, while People's Liberation Party (PLP) leader Martha Karua garnered 1 per cent.
Other presidential hopefuls, including George Natembeya, Eugene Wamalwa, Ndindi Nyoro, Okiya Omtatah, Ekuru Aukot, George Wajackoyah and Jimmy Wanjigi, collectively accounted for just 1 per cent of respondents.
Meanwhile, 3 per cent of those surveyed declined to reveal their preferred presidential candidate, suggesting a section of voters remains undecided or unwilling to publicly disclose their choice.
The regional breakdown revealed that Ruto's support varies across the country. His strongest performance was recorded in the North Eastern region, where he scored 59 per cent, followed by Rift Valley with 46 per cent and Nyanza with 40 per cent.
Kalonzo Musyoka dominated the Eastern region, securing 40 per cent support compared to Ruto's 19 per cent, highlighting the Wiper leader's continued influence in his political backyard.
In the Central region, no aspirant managed to surpass the 20 per cent mark. Matiang'i led the field with 19 per cent support, while 26 per cent of respondents said they had not yet decided on their preferred candidate, the highest undecided vote recorded in any region.
The survey further showed that political party loyalty continues to play a significant role in shaping voter preferences. Ruto enjoys 87 per cent backing among UDA supporters, while Kalonzo commands 89 per cent support from Wiper Party members.
Matiang'i received 60 per cent support from Jubilee Party supporters, while Gachagua secured 24 per cent backing among DCP supporters, pointing to a comparatively more divided base within his party.
