The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has retained fuel prices for the pricing period between July 15 and August 14, 2026, sparing motorists and businesses from any increase at the pump.
Under the latest review, a litre of super petrol will continue to retail at Ksh214.03 in Nairobi, while diesel will remain at Ksh222.86 per litre and kerosene at Ksh191.38 per litre.
"In the period under review, the maximum allowed petroleum pump prices for Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene remain unchanged," EPRA said in a statement.
EPRA said the decision was supported by ongoing government measures designed to cushion consumers from fluctuations in international oil prices.
As part of those interventions, the government extended the reduced 8 per cent Value Added Tax (VAT) on petroleum products for an additional three months, until October 2026.
The government further disclosed that it drew Ksh945 million from the Petroleum Development Levy (PDL) Fund to keep fuel prices stable during the review period.
During the review period, the average landed cost of Super Petrol declined by 21 per cent to Ksh115,070 per cubic metre in June, from about Ksh146,250 per cubic metre recorded in May.
Diesel also registered a drop, with its average landed cost falling by 19.8 per cent to Ksh127,700 per cubic metre, compared to roughly Ksh143,800 per cubic metre in the previous month.
Meanwhile, the average landed cost of Kerosene decreased by 11.7 per cent to Ksh133,370 per cubic metre, down from about Ksh150,990 per cubic metre in May.
Under the revised pump prices, motorists in Mombasa will continue paying Ksh210.87 per litre for Super Petrol, Ksh219.58 for Diesel and Ksh188.09 for Kerosene.
In Nakuru, Super Petrol will retail at Ksh212.92 per litre, Diesel at Ksh222.27 and Kerosene at Ksh190.81.
Motorists in Eldoret will pay Ksh213.69 for Super Petrol, Ksh223.09 for Diesel and Ksh191.63 for Kerosene.
The same prices will apply in Kisumu, where Super Petrol will cost Ksh213.69 per litre, Diesel Ksh223.09 and Kerosene Ksh191.63.
Similarly, consumers in Kakamega will pay Ksh213.69 for Super Petrol, Ksh223.09 for Diesel and Ksh191.63 for Kerosene.
In Kericho, Super Petrol will retail at Ksh213.67 per litre, Diesel at Ksh223.05 and Kerosene at Ksh191.59.
The decision to retain pump prices is expected to ease pressure on public transport operators, manufacturers and households that had been bracing for a possible increase in fuel costs.
The revised prices come into effect at midnight on July 15 and will remain applicable until August 14, when EPRA announces its next monthly fuel price review.
