Suzuki by CFAO Mobility Kenya has unveiled three new vehicle models targeting cost-conscious Kenyans, as the automaker seeks to tap into growing demand for affordable and fuel-efficient cars amid rising transport and living costs.

The company on Wednesday, June 23 launched the Suzuki Super Carry, Suzuki Eeco and Suzuki Across, saying the models are designed to make vehicle ownership more accessible for first-time buyers, families and small businesses.

Speaking during the launch, CFAO Mobility Kenya Managing Director Arvinder Reel said Kenyan motorists were increasingly prioritising value for money when purchasing vehicles.

"Kenya's automotive market is increasingly value-driven, with buyers being cost-conscious and seeking vehicles that offer better value, are reliable, practical, and cost-efficient over time," Reel said.

"The Suzuki models are designed to make car ownership more attainable, with the models reflecting the brand's strong commitment to cost-conscious consumers and first-time buyers."

The launch comes as more Kenyans and small businesses look for vehicles that are cheaper to run and maintain, with fuel economy and operating costs becoming key considerations in purchasing decisions.

According to the company, the Suzuki Super Carry is aimed at entrepreneurs and businesses involved in last-mile deliveries and urban logistics. The light-duty pickup has a payload capacity of up to 730 kilogrammes, a 30-litre fuel tank and is designed to manoeuvre through congested urban roads.

The Suzuki Eeco, meanwhile, is positioned as a multi-purpose van for both commercial and family use. It accommodates up to seven passengers and can also be used for transporting goods, with a payload capacity of 615 kilogrammes. The company says the van combines fuel efficiency with low maintenance costs, making it suitable for small businesses and daily transport needs.

For buyers seeking a sport utility vehicle, Suzuki also introduced the Across, which features all-wheel drive capability for both city roads and off-road terrain. The five-seater SUV is powered by a 1.5-litre engine and comes equipped with six airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), dual sensor brake support and hill assist.

Reel said the company was focusing not only on affordability but also on safety and reliability.

"By prioritising safety, reliability, and accessibility, Suzuki by CFAO Mobility Kenya continues to promote inclusive mobility solutions that address the diverse transportation needs of Kenyans," he said.

To support the rollout of the new models, the company said customers will have access to an aftersales network comprising more than 43 branches, dealerships and authorised service centres across the country.

The introduction of the three models marks Suzuki's latest push to expand its presence in Kenya's increasingly competitive automotive market, where demand is shifting towards vehicles that offer lower running costs without compromising on practicality.
