President William Ruto and First Lady Rachel Ruto were among the guests who attended their daughter Charlene’s wedding to Tanzanian entrepreneur Isaya Yunge in Mwanza, Tanzania, on Friday, November 6.

The white wedding, held at Malaika Beach Hotel, attracted political leaders, government officials, family members and friends from Kenya and Tanzania, who gathered to witness the couple exchange vows.

The President and First Lady drew attention with their coordinated outfits. Ruto wore a deep burgundy jacket with contrasting lapels, paired with a cream shirt and black bow tie, while Rachel donned a long white dress decorated with burgundy and brown floral patterns.

One of the standout moments captured in photographs and videos showed the Head of State and his wife accompanying their daughter down the aisle as she headed towards the altar, wearing Cartier glasses, in an emotional family moment witnessed by the guests.

Charlene turned heads in a detailed white wedding gown featuring floral embellishments on the bodice and skirt, complemented by a long veil that trailed behind her as she walked towards the altar.

Her groom, Isaya, wore a cream-white suit matched with a crisp white shirt and a black patterned tie, giving him a sophisticated appearance.

Other members of the First Family also attended the ceremony, including Charlene’s siblings Nick, George, June and Nadia. Videos from the event also showed her sisters Stephanie, June, Nadia and Cullie serving as bridesmaids, dressed in elegant red gowns.

The religious service was conducted by the Africa Inland Church in Tanzania, with the two families gathering for prayers and the exchange of marriage vows as Charlene and Isaya officially sealed their union.

Charlene also showcased a different bridal appearance in her official wedding portraits, wearing a white midi dress with delicate cap sleeves and a long veil finished with lace detailing.

She accessorised the look with statement gold earrings, a diamond ring and a wristwatch, completing the outfit with white heels adorned with tulle bows.

The portraits also captured her holding a small bouquet of baby’s breath flowers tied together with a white satin ribbon, while Isaya maintained his classic look in a cream suit.

The white wedding follows another major milestone in the couple’s relationship, their traditional Kalenjin engagement ceremony, popularly known as Koito, which was held in August 2026 at the Ruto family’s Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County.
