The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has released the results of the July 2026 Business and Technical examinations.

In a notice issued on Monday, October 26, 2026, the council announced that heads of institutions can collect the results from New Mithani House in South C, Nairobi.

KNEC set December 7, 2026, as the deadline for submitting queries regarding the examination results. Institutions that miss the deadline will be required to pay a fee of Ksh5,000 for every query submitted late.

“Queries must be submitted through the council’s online portal at qmis.knec.ac.ke/externallogin and should reach KNEC within 30 days of the results being released,” the notice read.

The council further directed candidates seeking clarification or wishing to raise concerns about their results to submit their inquiries through the heads of their respective institutions.

KNEC noted that institutions with outstanding examination fees may be required to clear their balances before they can access the released results.

Under the prescribed procedure, heads of institutions are responsible for collecting the results and coordinating the submission of queries raised by candidates through the council’s official channels.

Candidates who sat the July 2026 Business and Technical examinations have been advised to contact their respective institutions for guidance on collecting their results and addressing any concerns about their performance within the stipulated period.

The council emphasised the need for institutions to comply with the collection requirements and adhere to the deadline to avoid additional charges.

“Institutions need to comply with the collection requirements and submit their queries before the December 7 deadline to avoid paying a Ksh5,000 charge for late submission,” KNEC emphasised.

The announcement allows candidates who participated in the July examinations to establish their performance as institutions begin the process of accessing the results and addressing any concerns raised.

The latest directive comes a week after KNEC outlined the rules candidates sitting the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations must observe, stressing the importance of punctuality and compliance with examination regulations.

Candidates were instructed to undergo security checks before entering examination rooms and take their seats at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of each paper.

According to the guidelines, morning examination papers begin at 8 am, while afternoon papers are scheduled to start at 2 pm.

The council has consistently reminded candidates and examination administrators to observe the established procedures to ensure the smooth conduct of national examinations.
